In 2014, now MSMR graduate Musanna “Moose” Al-Muntasir sat in Dr. Grisaffe’s class contemplating his life and trying to understand correlations in multidimensional scaling. As a recap, multidimensional scaling (MDS) is a means of visualizing the level of similarity of individual cases of a dataset.
Years later as he was creating this website, he had the opportunity to design something that represented that. The logo of this year’s MSMR conference came from that exact concept. The dots on the image represent data points or sets and the lines are how strongly (or weakly) they correlate with each other.
What better way to represent how this conference connects and correlates the program, students, attendees, and academics to the world of Marketing Research.
